In association with Motorcycling New Zealand and the Auckland Motorcycle Club, the Speedscan Hyosung GT250R Cup is an exciting new, one make, 250cc production championship for the highly successful Hyosung GT250R V-Twin sportbikes.

The five round championship is part of the Auckland Motorcycle Club series running over the summer 2011/2012 at Hampton Downs and Pukekohe circuits. The series start on 16^th Oct 2011.

The bikes can be any standard production model Hyosung GT250R with certain minor modification allowed as per MNZ ‘Pro Lite’ rules. There are 10 races in the championship; 2 races per race day. Race 1 will be a ‘Le Mans’ start and race 2 a normal static grid start. There will be a Hyosung Pit Village at every meeting offering help and advise. There is a total prize fund of $10,000 with prize giving at every round. The championship winner will be awarded the HYOSUNG GT250R CUP presented by ex world champion Graeme Crosby. The registration fee for the series is $250 and entry is limited to 35 bikes.
